La Froterie is located in the Deux-Sèvres, in the south-west of France, west of the city of Poitiers. In this region you will find many sights such as cathedrals, silver mines and you can also spend a whole day shopping (if the carp let you). La Froterie offers a beautiful lake in combination with a beautifully furnished holiday home and a swimming pool. You can celebrate your holiday here with friends or your family in an inspiring, peaceful environment. The lake was restocked in December 2018 with mirror carp, common carp and grass carp up to 47 pounds

Accommodation
A fully equipped house for six people, including central heating, a wood-burning stove, a bedroom with a double bed, a bedroom with two single beds and a sofa bed for two people in the living room. The beds are made upon arrival and the towels are ready. The bedrooms both have their own bathroom with a luxurious shower. The large living room has a television (English) with DVD player. In the kitchen you will find a dining area for six people, large stove, double refrigerator with freezer compartment, microwave, coffee maker and dishwasher. This accommodation has a garden (with fence), garden furniture and again a table for six people. In the garden you can also find a barbecue.
Rules
No dogs allowed. Maximum 4 fishermen.
We supply our own cradles, weighing bags, for use on the lake. (Free)
All equipment going into the lake must be soaked in antiseptic for 20 minutes.
Every angler must have a Carp Care Kit. (carp aid/antiseptic)
Use Carp Aid/Antiseptic on the hook wound after each catch. (we deliver to every site)
Always use the Carp Cradles and unhooking mats.
Maximum 3 rods per angler.
Fish must be released as quickly as possible.
Always keep the carp in the cradle wet.
No unattended rods.
Bivvies should be placed on the gravel spots as much as possible.
Minimum 15 pound main line.
No braided main line except on spod or marker rods.
No lead core or leaders of any kind.
Rig tubing must be used. (minimum 40 cm, but preferably longer) We recommend using Rig Marole Freefall Braided Tubing. Ultra heavy duty and very easy to thread.
Microbarb or barbless hooks only. No bent hooks or long shanks
No knots, swivels, quick disconnects or split shot above the lead.
Sacking is prohibited.
When taking photos, keep an eye on the safety of the fish.
No nuts of any kind.
Only use frozen boilies.
Only safety rigs are allowed. If in doubt, consult the owner.
Bait boats are allowed.
Excessive alcohol consumption is frowned upon for the safety of both fishing and fishing rods.
Anyone deemed unfit to fish will be asked to leave.
Rowing boat can only be used for snags fish, life jacket required.
Please use the trash cans and waste bins provided in the gite. (if you stay in the gite)
All waste must be bagged and taken away.
The only toilet you can use is in your Gîte.
Loud music or fire is not allowed.
BBQ around the lake must be above ground. (Owner will organize a barbecue with you at the lake if desired)
Only the particle mix purchased on site may be used.
Prijzen
Exclusive booking of the gite and the lake € 1,635. On top of that, a deposit of € 234 is required. If you leave everything clean and undamaged, you will receive the deposit back into your bank account within about a week. Tourist tax is payable on departure and is 50p per person (18 or over only) per night.
